About brand

Chandan Masale's is an Indian spice brand offering a range of everyday and premium masalas rooted in traditional Indian flavours. The brand caters to households that value authenticity, consistency, and purity. The objective was to strengthen brand recognition, improve shelf appeal, and create a clear brand positioning that stands out in the crowded masala category.

Design Process

My approach focused on building a strong, trustworthy brand identity supported by strategic positioning ( upper middle class ) and visually distinctive packaging that communicates quality, authenticity, and everyday usability.to make a premium series product.

The process began with market and competitor analysis to understand category clutter, colour codes, and consumer buying behaviour. I studied regional preferences, usage patterns, and shelf visibility to define a clear brand strategy and positioning.

Based on this research, I developed a structured visual language that balanced traditional cues with a clean, modern look. Packaging design became the key touchpoint, where colour, typography, imagery, and hierarchy were carefully crafted to improve readability, product differentiation, and brand recall. The brand strategy guided messaging, tone, and consistency across all products, ensuring scalability for future variants.

The solution was an integrated brand strategy supported by a cohesive visual identity and impactful packaging system. The redesigned packaging positioned Just add as premium product.
